A base built to carry a car, not just cover the ground

Deeper excavation, a thicker compacted sub-base and tight edge restraint — a driveway takes far more load than a patio, and the base is built for it.

Why Us

Why pavers beat another poured slab

A driveway is the hardest-working surface on your property. Here's why we build most in pavers.

1

No single cracking slab

Poured concrete cracks along one hard line as the ground moves. Interlocking pavers flex with that movement, so the surface ages without splitting apart.

2

Fixable in a single spot

Oil stain or a damaged area? We lift and replace the affected pavers instead of tearing out and re-pouring the entire driveway to fix one patch.

3

Permeable options that drain

Permeable paver systems let rain soak through the joints into the base instead of sheeting down to the street — useful where runoff and drainage matter.

4

Curb appeal that lifts the house

Colour, borders and pattern give the front of your home a finished, designed look that a plain grey slab simply can't deliver.

What We Do

Driveway work we build

From a full replacement to the approach and borders that frame it.

Interlocking paver driveways

Full paver driveways set on an engineered, compacted base and edge-restrained to carry vehicle loads without rutting or spreading.

Permeable driveways

Permeable paver systems that let rain drain through the surface into the base, reducing runoff instead of sending it down to the street.

Tear-out & replacement

We remove cracked, sunken concrete or asphalt, rebuild the base properly, and lay a paver surface that fixes the drainage underneath.

Aprons, borders & banding

Contrasting borders, banding and a clean street apron that frame the driveway and tie it into paths and the front of the house.

How to weigh up a driveway surface

Honest criteria to think through before you repave — not a knock on any one material.

A plain poured slab

  • Tends to crack along one hard line as ground shifts
  • A stain or crack often means redoing a large area
  • Sheds water across the surface to the street
  • One flat grey colour and finish

An interlocking paver driveway

  • Flexes with ground movement instead of cracking
  • Individual pavers lift and replace in one spot
  • Permeable options drain through the surface
  • Colour, borders and pattern to fit the home

Rain that soaks in instead of running off

Permeable paver systems move water through the joints into an open base — a driveway that manages its own runoff.

Simple & Transparent

How a driveway project runs

1

On-site estimate

We look at the existing surface, how water moves and how you use the driveway, then give you a clear, free written scope.

2

Tear-out & sub-base

Out comes the old slab; in goes a deeper, compacted sub-base built for vehicle weight, the part that keeps a driveway from rutting.

3

Lay & compact pavers

Pavers are laid to pattern, edge-restrained and compacted in, with permeable or standard joints depending on your drainage needs.

4

Finish & clean up

Borders, apron, joint sand and a full clean-up, so you drive onto a finished surface and we leave the site tidy.

Borders and banding that lift the whole front

A contrasting border and clean apron frame the driveway and tie it into the paths and entry — curb appeal a slab can't match.

Good to Know

Questions about paver driveways

Can a paver driveway really take the weight of vehicles?

Yes — the strength is in the base. A driveway gets a deeper, thicker compacted sub-base and tight edge restraint than a patio does, so it carries vehicle loads without rutting or spreading.

What's a permeable driveway?

Permeable paver systems are laid with open joints and an open base so rainwater soaks through the surface instead of running off to the street — helpful where drainage and runoff are a concern.

My concrete driveway is cracked — can you replace it?

We do full tear-outs: we remove the old slab or asphalt, rebuild the base properly to fix the drainage underneath, and lay a paver surface that won't crack along one line the way a slab does.

Will oil stains ruin it?

One of the advantages of pavers is spot repair — if a paver is badly stained or damaged, we lift and swap that paver rather than resurfacing the whole driveway.

How long does a driveway take?

It depends on size, tear-out and access, but we give you a clear timeline with the written scope at your estimate so you know what to expect before we start.
